I am so excited !
Why !? Because ‘my’ Lysander is finally getting real shape AND is flying with a dedicated flight model concocted by our Rob Young of RealAir and MAAM fame! Chuck Jodry has agreed to pick up the pieces left by the previous two attempts of getting this project ready for FSX (and FS) and we’re making good progress now.
Yes, ‘my’ Lysander. Because it has been a long-term dream of me to have one in FS, made the way I want ed it, and the way it looks in the Old Warden museum…. the last remaining airworthy one too. Also ‘mine’ because I more or less foolishly have sunk a great deal of money in it, mainly caused by me being so ‘green’ in the aircraft design business.
Never mind, I’ll forget all that once it starts rolling out the hangar and flying on YOUR PC’s….. hopefully in sufficient numbers to at least cover for my losses on this project. It will be FUN to fly no matter what, that’s for sure !

Here come the Marines !!!
Although I am a photographer and not a movie director, I figured I’d still give this a try. We are almost ready to release our first ‘AJ Weber Product’, featuring a Helicopter carrier AND a wonderful AAV (amphibious tank). AJ has done a wonderful job in making this AAV animated (first moving tracks I’ve seen in FSX!), and steerable.
It is truly fun to drive (using rudder pedals/rudder steering) both on land AND in water. And the only way to really show that is in a movie….. I’ll make some more… and hopefully better ones.. but there’s the idea:
Bobcat Released today !!
Today we released the new T-50 Bobcat from Simon Smeiman. It is Simon’s second aircraft and he has made big strides in terms of techniques used.
The Bobcat is a dedicated FSX aircraft modeled after the 1939 plane, with a wonderful flight model and great textures.
It comes in wheeled and floats versions for both military and civilian use.
Although a tad more expensive than the Super Cub, the price remains pleasant, at only Euro 13,95 for non-EU customers!
We’ll have a boxed version ready in the next weeks, which will be sold on our own website as usual.
For now, get all the info at simMarket here !

Tongass X Comparison shots
If you’re a (novel?) FSX user, you won’t think much of Alaska as it is presented in the sim. It will look pretty much as in the screenshot below. Boring and unnatural straight coast lines, lack of towns and roads (not that there are many) and generally not an interesting place to go flying at all!
But, enter FSAddon Publishing’s Tongass Fjords X, the masterful creation of Holger Sandmann and Bill Womack, and we’ll teach you to LOVE America’s largest state! See below what Alaska will look like after you get Tongass Fjords X installed on your machine. We’re currently beta testing and plan a release within 2 or 3 months from now!…
Here’s Angoon in default FSX…….

And here’s the same place after you load Tongass Fjords X on your PC !!

Vote for our brand
As you can see in the column on the right we’ve included a ‘voting button’.
This is a new initiative by Garry J. Smith, well-known from his shiny painting activities, to build a list of top FS sites that is honest for a change. Most other such lists are either managed by people who have an interest themselves, or are totally out of whack with reality by not having proper controls. That often means that the value of such lists is extremely questionable. So we don’t care for them.
Since Garry is a well-respected person in the FS world we decided we’d go with his new initiative and add our support to it.
If you like FSAddon Publishing, then click the button…… THANK YOU! And Thank You Garry.
Progress update

We expect to publish the Bobcat this weekend on simMarket and on our own site, followed by a CD version within two weeks. Stay tuned… !
Unfortunately my Blog is gone…
At least for now. Some computer- or Host glitch killed the ‘Flyin’ and Ridin’ blog I’ve been maintaining for a few years now already. Most ‘unfortunate’ is that he host, Siteground.com, whom I’ve been happily using and promoting for many years too, now decided I need to pay a hefty fee to have a backup restored !! ‘Hefty’ in this case means more than an antire year of hosting that the site costs me.
That, frankly, is insane and unacceptable.
So I’ll be trying to tinker the blog back into the air, somehow…. but for now the backups don’t really work and I haven’t been able to figure out what the actual problem is. For now it seems that I lost a few files from the root of the site and that’s not good. Please bear with me…..
We’re on Twitter now !
The ‘networking’ apps are popping up like mushrooms in the Fall, and of course we can’t stay behind.
You can find me on Facebook (together with our Help Save the Simulator group), and now you can also remain up-to-date of all of FSAddon’s activities via Twitter.
Check out the rightmost column, at the bottom, and click on ‘Follow’ if you want to keep up with what’s happening at FSAddon Publishing. You can even get the news sent to your cell phone this way ! (It would drive ME mad, but hey…… I’m an old curmudgeon).
Bobcat ready to fly
Simon Smeiman has been working hard at designing and then improving his Cessna T-50 Bobcat, an aircraft designed in the late ’30’s! Helped by an extremely active Beta Team Simon has much improved his technique and added a load of new features and details to the initial model.
So now we’ll be able to offer you a civilian and a military version, in various liveries…… AND a float version of both !!!
Here are some screenshots to wet your appetite…… courtesy of Nick Churchill.
