Our new ’shop’ is OPEN
After years of trying – literally – I finally managed to find some shop software that ‘works’ for me in terms of maintenance, ease of programming and look-and-feel. Of course our main ‘outlet’ is still simMarket as before, especially for your fast downloads, but your CD’s can now more easily be bought ‘on-site’.
I’ll also be adding the download files that previously were done through Flight1 over the coming weeks.
I hope you like the new shop…… let us know HERE !
‘Why Fly’ – Great New On-line Magazine
A brand new, on-line, commercial ‘web-zine’ has been born. Conceived, designed and ultimately produced and launched by some friends (Glenn Norman and Michelle Goodeve) and people many of us know (Hal Bryan and Mike Singer, both fromer MSFS gurus)! It is called Why Fly and is all about WHY we/you love FLYING (and aviation). "
…… Glenn and Michelle fell in love with each other—and the sky—while they were still in their teens. After getting their start as aviation writers, they’ve spent the past 25 years working as actors, screenwriters, story editors and producers on numerous TV shows. But as most of their stories were about flying, the couple decided to combine their skills and create Why Fly in partnership with their friends Hal Bryan and Mike Singer….".
You can see the FREE initial version by going here ! I know you’ll like what you see, so get a subscription and make sure the mag takes off into a wonderful future, serving us all with great stories about flying !
Multi-player Server Running Dry !!
All my own fault, I admit… I forgot to post my yearly ‘donation’ messages. So I paid all of last year mostly myself, and prepaid THIS year already too. Seeing so many people ask for money (often for themselves even) in the various forums, finally sparked the hidden brain cell to react: ‘.. darn, that server is running on fumes….!!’. And since I am not a large company, even though we have some great products, even a little rented VPS server makes nasty cuts into the income. But I know it serves a purpose, so I will try and keep it running for ya.
So, if you use it and can spare a few dollars, I’d really appreciate some help in keeping the server running. You can just go to the SERVICES PAGE and click on the ‘Donate’ button there….. as often as you like *chuckle*. FYI, I need some $ 600, but any bit will help!
On another note: this site is now running on another server. We were getting too popular (also because of Simon’s freeware downloads!!) and the host made us upgrade to a business account. A victim of our own success, as it were…. oh well.
Simon Smeiman’s Free Ultimate Biplane

Simon Smeiman, author of our Cubs and Supercubs, has released a little gem in the form of an Ultimate 10-300 Aerobatic Biplane for FSX SP2. Simon writes in the assoicated Readme file"…. This freeware model of the Ultimate is my gift to my fellow Simmers especially those who bought my commercial models marketed by Francois Dumas of www.fsaddon.eu.
The model is also dedicated to Gordon Price, the creator of the real world Ultimate.
Gordon was so kind to let me use the color scheme of his aircraft and to display his name as the pilot on the Ultimate Bluehawk model.
If you like to know more about Gordon and the Ultimate Bipe please visit http://moleski.net/ultbipe
Martin X. Moleski, SJ (Marty) is the owner of the abovementioned web site. He was so kind to bring me in contact with Gordon, He also allowed me to use the info from his web site to create the model for FSX. Thanks Marty!….".
