First off thanks for V+3. been a favourite area from FS9 days, so I am so glad to have Pitt meadows back as my home airport..!

I only use ORBX scenery and now of course again your V+3.

It seem that there are a huge number of missing library files and I have only visited Boundry bay and Pitt meadows.

I have just created a dummy library for me with a small crate for these items, so I will most probably see a few crates laying around.

We all knew missing library files could create CTD, so hopefully you can correct this maybe.!

There shouldn't be any missing files, no-one else has reported this. Try disabling all addons, then re-enabling one by one and check each time to find out when this occurs.

In the meantime, that's a clever workaround!

V+3 still active in scenery library: Removed the dummy library. I get Missing library files.
V+3 de-activated from scenery library: No missing library errors apart from the ORBX one (but there is nothing wrong when using PNW "boundry bay" and "Pitt meadows" without V+3.
Add v+3 back to scenery library. Errors immediately at Pitt meadows and Boundry bay.
Add back my dummy library to V+3 higher scenery folder. No more errors.

So according to me, from above scenarios, it must be V+3 that have missing library files.

Only scenery I have installed
- Orbx PNW & Rockies
- Orbx airports in Washington state and Oregan
- V+3.
- Nothing else installed.

99.9% of people do not have the "show missing library file error" added to their FSX.cfg file. It is something that need to be added manually to FSX.cfg file to be able to see if there is missing library files. So yeah maybe the reason 99.99% of people will never know about this and NEVER report this, but it could create havoc for them and they will never knew it could have been course'd by missing library effects.

Jon, are those files yours? And if so, how could they go missing I wonder? Puzzled……

I've been able to reproduce this, thanks for pointing this out. It's unlikely to cause problems, but it might, so I will begin the hunt for the offending files.

Wish me luck!

You are most probably right…

Just struggled a while ago with CTD and added the entry to try and pinpoint the issue and well I am so used to it now, at least I know my system do not have any missing library files and the most complete scenery wise, so if something goes wrong I can tick scenery missing library files off automatically.

Soem say that missing library files is not much, but let me tell you ORBX vashon is still fresh in the mind where that scenery created a HUGE number of CTD's, just go read up avsim and thos CTD was only resolved once the library was corrected..!!

I've discovered, with bliksimpie's prompting, 2 PNW missing GUIDs and several more Van+ missing ones, as well as confirming the one's reported above. The PNW ones had already been identified by ORBX and are scheduled to be fixed in the next patch. Another is new and occurs over a wide area, and may also be from PNW: 772B629C-2C0B-44B0-9BA3-C32801927571. bliksimpie, can you reproduce this?

Much appreciated you looking into this problem.

I posted over at AVSIM as I thought it might be an Orbx issue, and I can't get any reasonable access to Orbx forums to have a discussion so I use the unofficial Orbx forum.

bliksimpie provided my the link to here and advised my that progess was underway.

I only have so far the 2 PNW ones already logged on ORBX site.

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/3…..-not-fixed

and the one above in the opening post.

The 772B629… I have not experienced but then again I have flown very little past couple days in vancouver area at all. Just the night I installed V+3 a bit and then decided to stop flying there because of all the library errors I got.

By the way again THANK you for taking a look at this

You're welcome, but it may be a while before this is fixed. So I suggest you turn off detection for now and enjoy flying!
