More Lysander news
We’re now at Beta 3 for the Lysander and hoping that Beta 4 will be the final one for the model, animation and textures. We’ve made great strides these past couple weeks ! Next will be engine sounds…. and I am now working on the missions that will accompany this model.
The ‘landing lights’ I used at first were not strong enough and one could never ever find the field in the dark. It still is near impossible even with the (much too strong) lights I have provided now, but we’ll add some ‘artificial help’ in order to not scare away all customers.
Here are some pictures Nick made, and some that I made of the first mission’s landing zone, somewhere north of the French village of Cluny.

When it rains, it pours !
‘Hampered’ by family issues these past weeks and months productivity has lapsed of course. So now I am stuck all of a sudden with quite a number of projects, all vying for my attention. We have the Lysander of course, chugging away and making progress, but still quite a while from being finished. And then there is Plum Island, almost ready and we’re aiming to get it out the door this weekend !
Then there is a small mission pack I have still laying around, made by Ron Jeffers. Working on the installer as we speak. It is called Sandspit Missions. Further I am working with my friend Ruud Faber and another gentleman on a brand new series of missions. I’ll elaborate more on that when we’re a little further down the line and going beta.
And we have Garry J. Smith with a large set of wonderful liveries for 5 jet fighters. Working on the installer, screenies and product pages for that too!
What else? Ah yes, the template for the VA Web Sites is almost ready, so we’ll launch that upon return from France….. because Nina and I will make a second attempt to have a short holiday, after our regular vacation was so rudely interrupted a month ago.
Meanwhile, DO have a look at another set of great Plum Island screenshots from our Screenshot Artist Nick Churchill, here on his web site.
New authors, new products
We have signed up two new authors, Ron Jeffers and Simon Smeiman, who have been working on some projects of their own. Ron is making some bush missions for FSX that we’ll put up in a nice package, and Simon has been working on a Piper Cub for FS2004 and FSX. These will be relatively cheap packages in a separate ‘range’. We’ll post more news and pictures as soon as it becomes available! Stay tuned.
